Minutes for CCYSA Board Meeting of January 10, 2001

Attending: Chip Dodson, Frank Beam, Doug Lawrence, Kim Moyer, Kelly Macklin, Jon Kardashian, board members, and Scott House and Betsy Munson

I. Minutes from the December meeting were approved.

II. No treasurer's report was given. Kim reported that she had not been able to get in contact with Dan in order to transfer the treasurer's checkbook and information. Chip suggested she keep trying at his email address.

III. Betsy Munson presented her agenda as the new high school varsity soccer coach to have closer ties with the rec program. Some ideas she had: a clinic for rec kids or teams run by the high school players. This was enthusiastically received. She also would like to run a camp this summer and wanted to work it so as not to conflict with any camp we might be sponsoring. Chip suggested she contact Tom Robb, who organized last year's camp at Powhatan School, although CCYSA did not make any financial gain from it, or help organize it. Scott House will be the jv coach at the high school.

Equipment--Guy Tomberlin
Fields--Chip Dodson (assign fields/scheduling) and Jon Kardashian
Referees--Scott House
Sponsors--Pat Smetanick and Kim Moyer
Newsletter--Kelly Macklin and Pat Smetanick
Travel Teams--Scott, Kelly, and Jon would be the reps for the 3 teams
Contract-- Chip
Picnic/Photos--Tom McCall
Calendar--Chip

V. Contract--the Park has sent Chip a new contract, so the board went over the entire contract line by line. Changes were written in as desired and Chip will send the contract back to Terrie Simmers, with the hope that they will accept our changes as written.

VI. Coaches' meeting will be Wednesday, March 7 at ??? time and place to be announced.

VII. A fee for each of the travel teams of $200 was tentatively set to help cover the cost of the fields at the park.

The next board meeting will be Wednesday, February 21 at 7pm at the Grace parish hall.
